calling an Israeli cell

we are traveling to Israel with our US smart phone. How do we call an Israeli phone?
Do we use the 011-972-?????? Do we dial the 0 before the city code?

You will dial Israel phone numbers the way locals over there do.

For instance, to dial an Israel mobile phone across the country you will use 05? ??? ????. To call landlines you will also use 0 as the starting digit, except for local calls when you can drop the zero and the area code. For example: calling a Jerusalem fixed line from another city: 02 ??? ????. When calling locally however you can use just the local number without 02. Again, this only works when dialing fixed numbers. The page below has more info:
