If I use my French mobile to call my friend’s French mobile while both of us are travelling outside France, do I drop the (0) before the six? In France do we include the (0)?

    Thank you for you inquiry.

The answer is yes to both your questions.
While traveling outside of France you should call your friend’s mobile phone as if dialing back to France. So, for instance, if you are in Canada you will dial: 011 33 6 xxxx xxxx.

While in France just use the national dialing format: 06 xxxx xxxx. The zero is a “trunk code” used to call nationally.
