calling from US to Israel

I received a number for Israel that has 054 after the country code and before the number. Is the zero necessary or is this maybe a cell without the zero? Is there anyway I can verify it’s an israel number by the last seven digits? Maybe by the three number prefix?

You should leave out the zero. A call from the US to an Israel cell phone should look like this: 011 972 5? ??? ????

You opened a new thread asking “How can I be sure the number I received is an israel number? I’m looking for something in the last seven digits.”

Most countries have at least 8 digits in their phone numbers. It’s not possible to look a the last 7 digits in a phone number and know what country the number is from.
