Calling UK from Australia Cell Phone

Hi I was given 0044 01202 xxx xxx is this UK Country Code and area code for Bournemouth land line or Cell Phone?

Hello Sophia,

The dialing sequence you were given will not work for calls from Australia to the UK. To place this call you must replace the starting 00 with 0011 and leave out the zero you have before the area code 1202. You should have: 0011 44 1202 ??? ???.

This Bournemouth number is a landline. UK cell phones start with 7.

I need to know what goes in front of a mobile number (in the UK) calling from a landline in Australia. +44781 etc in the number of the UK mobile. Thanks

0011 replaces the plus sign and that’s all you need: 0011 44 781….
