Cruise Ship and Use of Cell Phone

I am travelling on Princess Cruise Line to Egypt, Turkey, and Greece. Those countries do not have compatible cell towers for my Nextel/Sprint cellular phone.

Princess Cruise Lines, however, does have a tower.

Do I dial out as regular or do I need to use a country code to call USA?

Hi John,

I am not familiar with the type of service these cruise ships provide. Most likely they use some type of satellite connection. It’s very possible that, in order to call you would have to enter international dialing codes. My suggestion: ask them about this issue, but more important do find out what the cost of such a call would be.
