does country code appear

I live in the US and have a US verizon phone. If I was to receive a text from someone in Ireland but they are using a US cell phone that they brought with, would the country code show up at all or would the number just show up like any another US number in my contacts list?

Hello,

Normally the number will show up like it usually does when your friend calls/texts you when they are in the US. It could add +1 to the area code and local number, but under no circumstances you will see Ireland’s country code if they are using a US phone with a Verizon SIM card.
