i need to call this number inmarsat

my friend inmarsat mobile line is 550 4900 14, he is in spain so i was told to put spain country code 034 550 4900 14 , but i cannot reach, also noted when dialling inmarsat numbers from us have to dial 011 870 550 4900 14 its not getting connected too.
when he calls me number appearing as + 1 988 304 9527 but i cannot call this number too.

If your friend has an Inmarsat phone then using Spain’s country code makes no sense (by the way Spain’s country code is 34 not 034). Inmarsat has its own code which you already seem to know: 870. What happens when you dial 011 870?

The +1 988 number seems incorrect as well. It looks like a US number only there is no area code 988. Ask your friend again: is he 100% sure he has Inmarsat? If so why didn’t he provide the full number (870 included)? You can’t really call a satellite phone from anywhere without dialing the complete number so it would make sense for a satellite phone user to provide the whole number.

I’m not sure how I can help you since I don’t speak Spanish either. I think you should try to call again – your friend might answer this time. The number looks right, it is a Spanish cell phone number.
