    Hello,

I’m sure that, although not often, misplaced calls can happen, especially when using a phone with a roaming agreement to call from abroad.

    Hello,

You should leave out the zero. It’s a trunk code used for UK national calls (people calling within the UK).

    Hello,

856 is the country code of Laos. I don’t know what type of phone number this is (cell phone or landline) because I haven’t encountered Laos phone numbers starting with 1. It might be a special service. To call the number just replace the starting plus sign with 00. Or you can dial it with the plus sign when using a mobile phone to place the call.

    Hello,

This is an Iran mobile number. Just dial it as is (00 is the international code used to call internationally from Pakistan and 98 is Iran’s country code):

    Hello,

It’s a mobile number in Saudi Arabia (country code 966). I can’t give you a more specific location because cell phone numbers use a national dialing format. The starting double zero is the code you should use to dial this number from India. More info below:

    Hello,

I just tried dialing this number and I too got a recording. It sounded like a voicemail message, but I couldn’t understand what it said. Then there was music played after the recording.

Your dialing sequence looks right so there’s likely an issue on their end. This is a Ghana mobile number. If the recording you have heard didn’t sound like mine maybe your calling plan blocks international calls.

    Hello,

    You are not dense:)
The number you have is what people from other European countries dial. 00 is the code used to dial abroad from the EU (the US uses 011) and 33 is France’s country code. While in France you can drop 0033 and add 0 instead (0 is a code used to call domestically, just like US residents have to add 1 before the area code when dialing a state to state call): 0651 and so on. However, using 0033 might also work even when calling within France. The reason: wireless networks are smart enough these days to figure out that this is a domestic call.

I hadn’t even noticed your post title error:) I am correcting it..
I suppose it was a block by your operator?

    Hello Janey,

I am not aware of a phone line block between the UAE and Israel. I can only suggest using a different line/service to place the call. Of course, before you do anything why not call your operator and inquire about this issue.

    Yes.

I don’t think there is a tracking service available to the public.

    Hello,

Yes, the number should remain the same. Think about it this way: if you want to call someone who is traveling to another country you will dial the same number you would if they were still in their home country. Their number doesn’t change.

This is also a landline. 533 is the area code for Zibo, also a city in the Shandong province. I have tried dialing it and it seemed to work fine – I hung up after 2 rings.

    Hello,

If it’s a South African toll free number you either can not call it from abroad, or you can call it at regular international rates.

Toll free numbers in any country are used only nationally. You can try to call the South African tf number by using our instructions on how to call South Africa. If it works expect to be charged. It might not work.

    Hello,

0011 is the exit code used to dial internationally from Australia (just like Malaysia uses 00).

The only way I can explain what happened – you either pressed 62 instead of 61, or the phone erroneously dialed 62 instead of 61 (62 is Indonesia’s country code). I don’t think this will happen again if you make sure you dial 00 61.

    Hello,

What happens when you call the number? The dialing sequence looks right to me. You could try replacing the initial plus with 00.

    Hello,

UK mobile numbers have 10 digits and they all start with 7. You can’t have a mobile or any phone number start with 00 anywhere in the world. Double zero is used by Europeans to call internationally (the equivalent of the US 011).

Indeed you should enter +44 or 011 44 to text the UK number, but after 44 you should have 10 digits with 7 being the initial digit:
