    Hello,
Try a different connection to dial the call. If you hear the same message there is likely an issue on their end and you ought to try later. I assume you do know that you must add 011 before 855 to place the call.

    Hi Emily,

If your boyfriend carries his UK mobile phone to Australia you should be able to call him without adding any extra digits to the UK cellular number: 07??? ??? ???. If dialing this triggers the message you have mentioned then most likely he either doesn’t have international roaming service activated, or his cell is not in a coverage area. In other words there isn’t much you can do.

    Hello,
Your wife seems to be doing everything right as far as dialing is concerned. If calling to your cell this is what she should dial: 00 234 followed by 10 digits. Ask her to try using another telephone line to dial this call. Most likely there is an issue with the line she’s been using. For example, international calls may be barred by her phone service provider. She could call them and ask about this issue.

    Hello,

There are some ways to call at a reasonable rate even if you don’t have a broadband connection with your mobile phone:

    http://namada.com/international-callback/

The first one is a calling card and the second one is a service that allows you to place calls by receiving a call with a new dial tone from a computer.

    Hello,
UK Premium rate services of the type 090x can only be dialed from within the UK as far as I am aware.

    Hello,

As stated on our page on how to dial the Ukraine you do not need to use an area code when dialing to a Ukraine mobile phone. Just dial 011 380 followed by the 9 digit mobile number.

    Hello Susan,

From what I understand your husband works for Ericsson and he has a work mobile phone. I suppose because of the redirects you don’t feel comfortable sharing personal stuff over the phone. Have you tried calling him directly on his MO cell phone? I believe that calling the VoIP first saves you money (if the VoIP number is a local number for you).

So I’m not sure what you’d like to know, but to me this doesn’t seem so complicated: you call a landline that redirects to a mobile number. The mobile number, even if it is a US number can be answered anywhere in the world if there’s a roaming plan activated.

    Hello,

I am not sure I understand your question. Qatar is a small country which does not use geographic area codes for landlines.

    Hello Dana,
This looks like a Russian landline (7 is Russia’s country code). To call it from the US just add 011 before the starting 7. More info here:
    https://www.howtocallabroad.com/russia/

You are right, US Virgin Islands telephone numbers look just like US numbers and do not require using 011.

    Update #2

On October 27, 2013 cell phone numbers in area codes 21, 22, 24 (Rio de Janeiro) and 27, 28 (Espirito Santo) were also changed to 9 digits by adding digit 9.

    Example:

Mobile numbers in the city of Rio de Janeiro 21 ???? ???? became 21 9???? ???? on October 27, 2013.

    Hello,
You should use Australia’s exit code 0011 followed by the full US number (1 ??? ??? ????).

    TQ,
I understand that you must dial 9 for an outside line. I suppose you have used this fax machine before. But have you used it for faxing internationally? If not make sure your calling plan doesn’t block international calls/faxes for some reason.

    Hi TQ,

The only thing I can think of is, since you must dial 9 for an outside line maybe your fax machine does not recognize this code and somehow mixes up the digits you enter resulting in an inexistent phone number. Have you been able to fax internationally before using this machine?

You can’t unless you ask Optimus to block all incoming international calls.

    Hello,

The US uses different time zones. Your state (Tamil Nadu) is 10.5 hours ahead of the US East Coast (New York City, Washington D.C., etc) and 13.5 hours ahead of the US West Coast (Los Angeles, San Diego, etc). Here’s a page showing all US time zones:
    https://www.timetemperature.com/tzus/time_zone.shtml

For calling rates you are going to have to contact your carrier.

    Hello,
It depends. Generally the best rates are offered by VoIP providers and prepaid services. For instance Skype is a popular service for placing international calls. Some less known but equally reputable services: https://www.enjoyprepaid.com
