    Hello,

Pakistan cell phone numbers start with digit 3. I assume this is a UK phone number used in roaming in Pakistan? If so just dial the regular UK cell number: 07??? ??? ???.

Hello Bob. The same dialing sequence works for calling and texting. When in Europe you will use 00 instead of 011 to call and text internationally, therefore your dialing sequence will be: 00 1 ??? ??? ????. 00 works for all European countries. A second option would be to key in the plus sign instead of 00.

This does indeed look look like a landline in Shenzen. To dial it from India just add 00 to the number.

    Hello,
I’m not sure what you want to do. I suppose you’d like to have a US number for example that would then ring to your Ghana number. If this is what you want you can subscribe to a so called International call forwarding service (try a web search for this).

    Hello Cori,

Your phone becomes a UAE phone for outgoing calls. In other words, you can use the instructions we provide on this website for dialing out of the UAE. 00 is the code they use to place international calls (instead of the 011 used in the US). So, to call back to New York you would use 00 1 212 ??? ????.

For incoming calls people should call your number as if you were in the US.

    Hello,

To call a Brazil phone number from India you have to dial 00 55 followed by the 10 or 11 digit number. Note that recently Sao Paulo cell numbers changed from 10 to 11 digits – maybe you have the old number? See the page below for further info:

Eureka, California uses US area code 707. To dial Eureka from Ghana you would use 00 1 707 followed by the 7 digit local number.

I did a bit of research and found out what DSN is about. It seems they have specific dialing procedures and they can also dial through an operator. I’m sorry, but I can’t provide more information than what you can read for yourself on the website below:

    Hello,

The instructions are of course for calling to a Mexico phone number. To reach a US phone located in Mexico just dial the US number the way you normally do. What you’ve been reading may refer to a US cell phone working like a Mexico phone for outgoing calls which is true.

    Hello,

Actually this is a cell phone registered in Switzerland (country code 41). To dial it, regardless of its location (US included) you would enter it as is +41 and so on. This works when using a cell phone to place the call because you need to actually key in the starting plus sign. You can also replace the plus sign with 011 to avoid confusion (plus 011 works with landlines as well while most fixed telephones do not allow entering +). Note that this call will be priced as an international call for you.

    Hello,

Normally the number will show up like it usually does when your friend calls/texts you when they are in the US. It could add +1 to the area code and local number, but under no circumstances you will see Ireland’s country code if they are using a US phone with a Verizon SIM card.

    Hello,

You will dial Israel phone numbers the way locals over there do.

For instance, to dial an Israel mobile phone across the country you will use 05? ??? ????. To call landlines you will also use 0 as the starting digit, except for local calls when you can drop the zero and the area code. For example: calling a Jerusalem fixed line from another city: 02 ??? ????. When calling locally however you can use just the local number without 02. Again, this only works when dialing fixed numbers. The page below has more info:

    Hello,

This is a cell number from Lebanon. Calling it works the same when the person carrying the phone travels abroad. Try replacing the starting 00 with 011. See more info on the page below:

    Hello,

You do not dial the plus signs. More info below:
    https://www.howtocallabroad.com/qa/plus-sign.html

You should have 00 963 followed by the 9 digit Syrian cell number which is supposed to start with 9. You seem to have more digits for some reason. If you send me the complete number via this board or via the contact button at the top right I might be able to decipher it for you.

    Sandeep,

You mean 011 49….? Or also +49 should work, not just 49.

If your friend’s number is a mobile phone then 711 won’t work because, as mentioned on our page on how to call Germany, geographical area codes are used with fixed numbers only. I don’t know why your friend would give you an incomplete cell number, because these numbers can have different prefixes across Germany (15, 16 or 17), and there is no way for you to guess which one to use. Again, if this is a mobile phone.

I would contact this person in some other way and clarify this.

    Hello,

Mobile phones in most countries have a national numbering format (two exceptions are the USA and Canada where cell phones and landlines share the same area codes). In China, all cell phones start with digit 1 and total 11 digits. From Hong Kong you would have the following: +86 1 ????? ?????.

    Hello,

    The short answer is no:)

The number you have is supposed to include all the codes needed for you to call back. However, 00 (the code they use in NZ to dial internationally) must be replaced with 011 since you are in the US. One thing I don’t understand is why you have 00 61 (61 is Australia’s country code). You should have 00 64. The rest of the number looks like a NZ cell phone. So anyway, try dialing 011 64 210221???? to see what happens. If this were an Australian number you would have had 9 digits for the actual number and not 10.
