Sorry for the late reply. This looks like a Pakistani fixed number – you mentioned it was a cell phone. Cell phone numbers in Pakistan start with 3 according to my sources.

Have you tried using another phone line to dial this number? This is usually my advice for people who seem to be dialing the correct sequence with no success. Using a different line to place the call can reveal whether the problem is on your end or not.

There are no special codes assigned for sending faxes – you can use the same codes required for placing voice calls. In this case you should add 0063 to the Phillipines fax number (the fax number must not start with zero – if it does leave out the zero. Here’s a page providing complete info:

Ukraine’s country code is 380 and cell phone numbers are 9 digit. This is what you have above so it seems you are using the correct dialing sequence. You could also try replacing the plus sign with 011 although both + and 011 should work.

Have you also tried calling this number? If calls work and text do not I would call the Canadian wireless provider to inquire about this issue. If neither works either your current plan doesn’t allow international access or there’s a problem with the Ukrainian phone.

You can find a UK person’s phone by name or address using an online phone directory such as https://www.thephonebook.bt.com/

Unlike the US you can’t reverse search a UK phone number online. Calling a UK directory inquiry service costs money and I believe dialing 411 in the US isn’t free either. I guess they don’t allow online reverse searches to avoid losing the income generated by people calling directory inquiry numbers.

Here’s what you’re doing wrong: the 00 before 39 is the code they use in Europe to dial internationally. You must replace it with 011 and not use both of them: 011 39 and so on.

If I understand this correctly you are receiving calls to Egypt from someone using a Bangladesh cell phone and who is in Saudi Arabia now. If this is the case, it is normal for you to see a Bangladesh number no matter where this phone is used. Again, if this is a Bangladesh cell phone.

The choice not to allow incoming toll free calls from outside Canada is your company’s. I believe Skype would work if your company allowed calls to this 1855 number from the US. If not there is no other way around this that I know of. But again, some toll free numbers can be dialed from abroad if their owners chose to allow incoming international calls.

UK directory assistance (or directory inquiry as they call it) can only be dialed from the UK. This is how this service works everywhere. In order to find out information on an international phone number you should call a US directory assistance service such as 411.

Hello Grouchy. Generally, when someone blocks your phone number you will get a busy tone when trying to call them. If this happens when you call the person in Morocco then your number is likely blocked. I don’t know of any other way of finding out if your number is blocked by someone.

It works just like a voice call. From Canada you should have 011 52 999 ??? ????. 999 is Merida’s area code. I assume this is a landline fax number.
