There are also cell phone numbers in Brunei starting with 7 – it’s a dialing format I just found out about after doing some research (thanks to your post) and I will add it to the Brunei page soon. So there is nothing wrong with the dialing sequence you have been using. Try calling your wireless provider – likely they will give you an idea why your texts do not reach their destination. There is also the possibility that your wireless plan isn’t activated for texting internationally.

    Hello,

Texting and calling work with the same dialing instructions. You can also try using the plus sign instead of your country’s exit code. You would have +673 8?? ????. Have you tried this?

We also have a page providing some information on why sometimes international texting doesn’t work. You can read this article at https://www.howtocallabroad.com/qa/texting.html

    Hello,
Nothing changes in the way you dial to a cellular phone located in another country and using a roaming agreement – just dial it as you usually do when this person is in India. Here’s a page explaining how it works:

    Hello,

A landline is a traditional fixed telephone line.

There is no way for me to know where the person who’s been calling you is right now or why they call you. The second number is a UK cell phone. Why not call them back to see who they are and what they want?

    Hello,

One thing I would like to tell you: using capital letters when posting on message boards is generally considered rude. Please use regular letters next time.

Regarding your issue: most phone service providers play both a message in the local language and one in English. Don’t hang up until the message in Hebrew is over – likely the same message in English will follow. There is nothing else you can do.

    Hello,

This is a UK cellular phone number. I do not have access to a database of UK mobile phones so I can not provide you with more details such as name or address (I don’t think there is one such tool available to the general public).

    Hello Jamie,

We include this information for most countries on specific country pages. For the Philippines you can find it here: https://www.howtocallabroad.com/philippines/

To quickly answer your question: most Philippines cell numbers are 10 digit and start with 9. A few may have less digits, but also start with 9. So from the US you would likely dial: 011 63 9?? ??? ????.

    Hello Chris,

Calling a UK cell phone while in the UK should look like this: 07?? ??? ????.
To call the US add 00 to the full US number: 00 1 ??? ??? ????.
Nothing changes in the way people from anywhere call you.

    Hello Leonardo,

One option would be to call via Skype – I believe the call is free with them. Otherwise, if using a regular long distance or mobile phone line the call will not be free. In fact, dialing the US toll free number as is might not even work (toll free numbers are meant to be dialed from within the country they are registered in).

In any case, to place the call you will need to add 00 before the number (00 1866 etc). If the call doesn’t go through try replacing 1866 with 1883. For more on this see the link below:

    Hi Christina,

You are right, you don’t need to add any international dialing codes when calling a Philippines cell located abroad. You don’t have to activate roaming to be able to call it. Most likely there is an issue with your friend’s phone. Maybe he doesn’t have roaming activated, or the phone is turned off. Hard to say. What you could do – call his wireless provider – they might be able to give you some details on his whereabouts (they could possibly tell you if his contract is still valid, or if he has been using his phone abroad, etc).

One thing I would like to clarify: I noticed you added digit 5 to your friend’s cell when trying to call him using Saudi Arabia and UAE’s country codes. Of course this couldn’t have worked. Apart from that, our pages provide information on how cell numbers look like in most countries. For these 2 countries for example, all cell numbers start with 5. If you have a cell number from these countries, it should already include the starting 5 (no need to add it again).

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Richard,

Your daughter should be able to reach you by dialing 00 1 416 ??? ????. Not sure why she can not. She could also try replacing 00 with the plus sign: +1 416 etc.

To call her you do not need to add any extra codes – just dial her cell number as if she were in Toronto.

See this page for complete info on how to use a cell phone abroad:

    Hello,

Sending a text works the same as placing a phone call. From Mauritiu to China you should have the following: 00 86 followed by the Chinese cell number which is 11 digit and starts with 1. You can also use +86 instead of 00 86. The page below has all this info and more:

    Hello Romina,

This is what a call from Pakistan to an Italian mobile phone should look like: 00 39 3?? ??? ????. 00 is the code used to dial out of Pakistan, 39 is Italy’s country code and the last 10 digits starting with 3 is the Italian cell number. The page below has all this info and more:
