    Hello,
The same dialing sequence used for calling applies for texting as well: 00 61 4 #### ####. See this page:

    Hello,
I apologize for the late reply. This is a Russian cell number. In order to dial it from Egypt you must add 007 and remove the starting 8 which is a so called Trunk Code they use for calls within Russia: 00 7 9853036###.

    Hello,
Basically you need to add 001 61 to this Australian number. One thing you should know is that toll free numbers are meant to be dialed from within the country in which they are registered. This means that, if the call goes through you will pay for it. Secondly, it’s possible that you won’t be able to call this number from outside Australia. In this case there should be a second option to call a regular phone number owned by the same entity.

    Hi Mack,

Actually no. If you’re taking your UK cell with you to Poland (or to any country), people in the UK will still call you as if you were in the UK: 07### ### ###. Your UK cell provider will then redirect the call to Poland. This is how international roaming works. To read more on this check the page below:

    Hello uncle:)

Actually we include Diego Garcia which is the only inhabited island in this archipelago. Here’s a link and sorry for the confusion, but I believe Diego Garcia is better known than British Indian Territory as a country name:

    Hello,

Yes..but, since the plus sign on the keypad is accompanied by zero, in order to type + you must press and hold the key for 2-3 seconds. For an article on why and when we need to add a plus to a phone number please see the page below:

    Hello,
While in China you are a Chinese cell dialing to a UK cell: 00 44 7### ### ###. Your friend is a Chinese cell dialing a US cell: 00 1 ### ### ####. Instead of 00 you can use the plus sign which works from any country (this way you don’t have to know if it’s 00 or 011 and so on). US people don’t need to know you are abroad – they will call you as if you were at home.

    Hello,

Such an online source doesn’t exist. Different telephone service providers charge different rates for international calls. Some services do not work from certain countries. What you can do is do a search for “international calling rates” for example and check the rates to your calling destinations on the websites that come up.

    Hello,

A collect call can be placed by dialing a toll free number (also known as freephone in some countries) and asking the operator to place the call for you. This is how you can place this type of call when trying to reach the US from other countries as well. The problem with collect calls dialed from abroad is that all countries have different telephone systems and some don’t even have an operator assisted service you can call to connect via reverse charge. Honestly, I just spent a few minutes looking for the operator assisted number for Spain and couldn’t find it.

A second option you have, in case you want to contact a bank for example and they also provide you with a toll free number to call from within the US – either use Skype to call the toll free number (you will generally be able to easily find an Internet cafe in Europe where you will only pay for Internet usage) or use the instructions we give on the page below for dialing a toll free number from abroad:
    https://www.howtocallabroad.com/qa/toll-free.html

Here’s a helpful article written by a NYTimes journalist on this matter (be sure to also read the comments at the bottom, they are quite informative).

    Hello,
This looks like a Greek phone number: 30 is Greece’s country code and after that you should have 10 digits. For some reason you have 11 so I believe your number is incorrect. Possibly, you shoudn’t have digit 1 after 30.

    Hello,
The starting plus sign means that you either have to dial it (cell phones allow entering +), or replace it with 00 like this: 00 1 347 ### ####. Either way should work.

No Jennie. Please read my message above carefully. You only need to dial 011 972 525 14xxxx. That’s it!

    Hi Jennie,

The confusion comes from the fact that this isn’t an Egypt phone number. It is an Israeli cell phone. Even if the owner of this phone is in Egypt, you will still have to call them as if they were in Israel: 011 972 525 xxxxxx. In other words, they gave you a complete number – you just have to replace 00 with 011. 00 is the exit code used to dial abroad from most countries. The US however uses 011 instead.

    Hello,

Your wife’s phone alone gets charged international roaming charges. You will call her as if she were still in the US (no international codes needed) and you will not incur international charges. The link below opens a page that explains in detail how international roaming works:

    Hello,

Are you sure this is a Chinee registered phone? To me it looks like a Russian cell number: Russia’s country code is 7 and cell phones are 10 digit in Russia and start with digit 9. See this page https://www.howtocallabroad.com/russia/

Adding 21 (Shanghai’s area code) to the number you have results in a 13 digit number. Chinese landlines can be either 10 (in most cases) or 11 digit. So my guess is that this is a Russian cell traveling to China (along with its owner:). Try dialing: 011 7 920 and so on. Let me know if this works.

    Hello,

852 is Hong Kong’s country code. For South Korea you should dial 82 (00 82). I’m not sure what you mean by “removing the first 4 number”. Please explain.

    Hello,

You don’t need to add the area code because cell phones in Australia do not use area codes. You should have 9 digits for the Au cell number and the first digit should be 4. You will dial the following: 001 61 4### #####.

    Hello,
It’s simple – you will have to leave out the starting zero and dial: 00 380 50 600 5???. This is a Ukraine cell phone and the starting zero is used to call within the Ukraine only.

    Hi Frank,

While in Europe your phone no longer uses American dialing rules to call internationally or domestically, but the rules of the country you’ll be in. All of Europe uses exit code 00 to dial abroad. Calling back to the States: 00 1 ### ### ####. Calling to France while in France doesn’t require 00 or country code – just dial what they dial.

One thing you should know about most European cell phones – they do not use area codes, but have a nationwide dialing format.

I hope this helps. If you have other questions don’t hesitate to ask.

    Hello,
Your phone becomes a local phone so to speak (this is only for calls you place). In other words, you can use this website to find dialing instructions from any country to any country. For example:
