    Hello,
971 is the country code of UAE (United Arab Emirates) and 974 is Qatar’s. The numbers you have look incomplete or they are some kind of short special numbers.

    Hello,
Looks like a Russian cell number. Russia’s country code is 7 and the rest would be the cell number. 00 is the code used to dial internationally from some countries.

Looks like a Hong Kong landline. You should be able to dial this using 0011 852 2896 0000.

    Hello,

You would dial the following: 0011 65 followed by the tf number. You should know however that toll free numbers are used to receive national calls. In other words, calling this number from outside Singapore may not work. If it does work the call will not be free for you, the caller.

    Rana,
At the bottom of our Palestine page we recommend a calling service:

    Rana,
It likely means that the phone is either turned off or in a non coverage area. Sorry for not paying enough attention when reading your first post. If you want, I can try dialing this number for you just to see if I get the same “number is not available message” (if you want to do this send me the number using the contact button at the top right).

Regarding the phone card. I really can’t tell, but some cards charge before the call is connected.

    Hi Rana,

Try using 970 instead of 972 to see if it works (Palestine’s country code is 970, although many areas still use Israel’s country code 972).

If you still can’t connect try using another line to dial this call.

    Hello,
This page has a collect call number for Citi Bank customers calling from outside the US https://online.citi.com/US/ag/contactus . However, I don’t believe that this call will be free when dialing from a cell phone.

    Hi Andy,

To call/text US registered cell phones your mom need to enter 1 ### ### ### (the complete US number).

    Hello,

Your complete US number is: 1 ### ### #### (1 is the US country code and the rest is your area code plus local number). To this you should add the plus sign: +1 ### ### ####. The plus sign says that yours is an international number for someone calling it from New Zealand.

Could be from Romania. To call it from the US dial 011 40 258 and so on.

Since you don’t have a country code it could be from other countries as well (often national numbering plans are similar).

    Hi Travis,

Your UK phone will work just like a US cell. You will be able to dial local US calls by just entering the 7 digit local number or also 3 digit area code + 7 digit local number (as you suggested above). Since you might not know which calls are local you can just add 1 to the 10 digit number – this combination will work for all calls: 1 ??? ??? ????.

    Hello Ramy,
This is an Australian mobile phone – these don’t use area codes therefore you do not need to add Sydney’s area code (2). Moreover, the zero at the beginning of the cell number is a code used domestically so you’ll need to leave this out as well: 00 61 401834???.

    Hello,
Nepal’s mobile numbers are 10 digit and start with 98. To the mobile number you will have to add 00 (India exit code) and 977 (Nepal’s country code): 00 977 98### #####.

    Hello,
Yes, US and Canadian cell phones inquire charges when receiving calls. The good thing is that calls to cell phones aren’t charged higher rates. For example, calling from a Toronto landline to a Toronto cell costs the same as calling another Toronto cell. Look for higher plans with a ton of minutes included. These included minutes are also used up when receiving calls.

    Hi Vyktor,

None of the above will work. I believe the number you were given is an Israeli cellular phone. These start with digit 5 nationwide (area codes are only used when calling landlines). The zero before 54 is a so called Trunk Code used ONLY for dialing within Israel. So, if you have a 10 digit number starting with 054 dial the following: 011 972 54 ### ####.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Hello,
48 is Poland’s country code so this is likely a Poland phone number. It only has 5 digits (after the country code) so it is either incomplete or it is some sort of special short number.
