After making sure your app is installed and working use the instruction given by jaunty_mellifluous above. No need to add London’s area code because cell phones do not use area codes in the UK. Also, if you aren’t sure what International exit code to use just enter the plus sign instead using your mobile phone’s keyboard. You should have this dialing sequence: +447541xxxxxx

    Hello .. A:)

Neither method will work. You should dial Nepal phone numbers the way locals do, even if your phone uses a US SIM card. Below is a page showing dialing sequences for calling within Nepal (it is possible you can dial Kathmandu landlines without adding its area code which is 1 as you will see by clicking the link below):

    Hello,

To call this number from the US you must leave out the starting 8 and dial: 011 7 727 239 2???. This looks like a Kazakhstan mobile phone. On the page below at the bottom we feature a calling service for this country:

    Hello,
Indeed the number has too many digits. You should have 9 digits for the cell number starting with 8. Both 0011 66 and +66 should work, but you must figure out which is the correct version of this cell numnber. I would first drop the last 4 digits to see what happens.

    Hello,
If your friend is in a foreign country with a Saudi SIM/phone number you dial using the same dialing sequence used when he is in Saudi Arabia (no need to add international codes). If it doesn’t work it’s likely because your friend either doesn’t have international roaming and can not use his cell abroad or your friend’s phone is turned off or it is in a non coverage area.

No. This is a type of short number and you don’t add an area code to it. I think you dial it as is: 132476.

As for adding 02 to Sidney numbers: only landlines use area codes in Australia and most countries outside North America. So yes, calling landlines in Sidney should start with 02 followed by 8 more digits, while cell phones start with 04.

    Hello,
It’s not the same as dialing these numbers from the US. You will dial local numbers the way locals do. Example: Australian cell phone: 04 ???? ????. You can use our pages for more info. Here’s one:

Also, see this more detailed article on how international roaming works:

in reply to: How can i call my daddy who is in Afganisthan from Colombia #2341

    Hello,

The number your dad sent you looks like an Afghan cell phone: 009 is one of the several international exit codes used to dial out of Colombia, 93 is Afghanistan’s country code and 798632405 would be the actual cell number. The other number looks like an Afghan landline and to dial it you would have to add the international exit code and country code already included with the first number. Also, you must leave out the starting zero: 009 93 319099500.

One thing you should know is that each Colombian phone service provider has its own international exit code. Check the page below for the code used by your carrier, or, if you are using a cellular phone to dial you can replace 009 with the plus sign (this one works with all carriers):

    Hello,

You must drop the 15 in the beginning and add 11 instead. This is what you should use for texting this Buenos Aires cell from Australia: 0011 54 11 6059-3227. To call it add 9 before Buenos Aires’ area code (11): 0011 54 9 11….

    Hello,
UK phone numbers, both landlines and cellular are 10 digit. You have only 9 digits after 44 which is UK’s country code. Moreover, Belfast’s area code is 28 for landlines and cell phones in the UK start with 7.

This looks like a Vienna landline – 1 9174 6310. The first zero is probably the digit used to dial out of the hotel room and the second zero is an Austrian Trunk Code used only within Austria before phone numbers. On https://www.howtocallabroad.com/austria/ we list a phone book for this country – try using it to search for this number’s owner or try searching for the number in Google (you can add a search string such as Vienna, etc).

    Hello Jade,

According to the data I have Swiss cell numbers are 9 digit and you only have 8. So it seems you are missing one digit.

    Hi Mary,
Yes, there was a numbering change for Peru cell phones taking place about a year ago. We published an announcement on the change at the time and this announcement is also linked from our main page on dialing to Peru.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Have you sent international texts before? If you aren’t sure call your wireless provider to see if your plan allows international texting.

    Hello,
Please start a new thread when posting a question.

This looks like a domestic Korean phone number. I have no idea why you can’t call it back.

    Hi Shelly,

Maybe you entered too few question marks above, but you should have +54 9 2966 followed by 6 more digits. 2966 is the area code of Rio Gallegos. In Argentina area code plus local number always total 10 digits.

Now, supposing you do have a correct cell number (especially that you said you have been able to call it), there could be two reasons why your texts don’t go though:

    1. While for voice calls one must use 9 before the area code (+54 9 2966), this digit must generally be left out when texting to an Argentina cell. In your case: +54 2966.
    2. For texting to work between countries, international operators must have some agreements, and it seems that Argentinian wireless providers do not have agreements with most international wireless companies.

I suspect and hope your text will go through using the first solution I gave you. Let me know please.

Well so this means you can’t call the number. If you could your friend would have answered right? So it sounds that there is indeed a problem with this number you’ve been calling/texting.

Have you called this number? I mean are you sure it’s a valid number (and turned on)?
