    Hi Bridget,
This is a US toll free number you’re trying to dial so no need for international codes. They likely have this toll free number for US customers to call free of charge.. although, when visiting their site I see some different contact numbers.

    Hi Alice,

It depends on what service provider this customer is with. Many numbers are with VTN Post and Telecommunications Group, so in this case you would add a 3 after 54 (54 being the area code for Hue). This page describes https://www.howtocallabroad.com/forums/topic/vietnam-telephone-numbering-plan-changes the changes that took place in VN numbering plan.

    Hello,
Area code for Berlin is 30 and not 030 so you should dial 011 49 30… This info is also available on our Germany dialing codes page.

    Hello,

Why add 90? The dialing procedure you have tried seems correct: 011 84 12… If the call doesn’t go through the problem is likely with the line your boyfriend uses to make the call. Advice him to try using a different line.

The only situatiation in which you wouldn’t add 011 followed by the country code is for calling a US cell phone roaming in another country. This doesn’t look at all like a US number so I guess this is not the case here. I believe that this is a phone number registered in the UK which has country code 44 and the cell number is 703 197 0???. The starting 1 makes no sense if I am right so you would dial: 011 44 703 197 0???. Of course this person can be in Germany, but you would still dial the UK number. Try this and let me know if it works.

    Lyn,

The cell number you gave above has too many digits. Germany cell numbers can be 10 or 11 digit and you have 13. Or did you add the ??? without removing any digits?

You will pay international rates charged by AT&T to call a Greek cell phone. Your friend would only pay roaming charges if, at the time of your call he were outside of Greece with his cell using another country’s wireless operator. If he was in Greece he will incur no charges for received calls.

    Hello,

Texting works the same as calling. This is what you should have: 011 33 6?? ??? ???. If you’ve been dialing these digits and the text doesn’t get through there is likely a problem on your end. For example it is possible that your wireless plan does not include international texting. Call your wireless provider to inquire about this issue.

    Hello,

You must leave out the starting zero from the cell number: 011 970 598… This digit is only used for calls within Palestine. Also, if it still doesn’t work try using Israel’s country code 972 instead of 970.

    Hi Marilyn,

If you are getting this message you are dialing the right digits. Most likely your friend either has his phone turned off or he has no coverage. Voicemail usage is not so popular in Europe and many cellular subscribers disable this service so people calling them don’t get charged when they are not in a coverage area.

    Cathie,

This is a US toll free number. Probably the main target market for this company is the USA so they have a US presence or the toll free number is redirected to ring to Cyprus. Anyway, you can try calling this number by dialing 00 1866….. It may not work because generally toll free numbers can’t be called from abroad. If it does work the call is not free.

    Hi Cathie,

Normally, to call from NZ to Cyprus you would dial 00 357 followed by the phone number. However, toll free numbers in most countries only work when dialed from within that particular country. Moreover, these numbers you have look more like American or NZ toll free numbers, certainly not Cyprus numbers. So I don’t know what else to tell you. In some instances toll free numbers can be dialed from abroad, but the call is not free. Again, these don’t look like Cyprus numbers which should be 8 and not 10 digit.

    Hi,

The call was expensive for her – you pay the same rates as if she were in the US. This is how international roaming works, so there is no other way for you to call her to her US cell. For her to avoid incurring high roaming charges when receiving calls she could buy a SIM card with a number from the country she’s in. In this case however you would pay international rates to call her.

    Hello,
The problem is I couldn’t locate any Japanese White Pages. I guess your best bet would be to try and talk to the owner of this old number and ask them about your friend. Sorry I can’t do more to help you.

This is indeed a cell phone number from Nigeria. Whether or not it belongs to this company I don’t know. To call this number from Italy (I see you are from Italy) you should dial 00 234 806….

    Hello,

This is a phone number from Lithuania – 370 is the country code for this country. The number looks like a value added service so be careful.
