Texting between 2 countries often does not work because of an incompatibility between the two wireless networks. Call your wireless provider to inquire about this issue.

    Hi,

You don’t add the area code – cell numbers in most countries outside North America do not use area codes. So you will dial 011 91 9679…. Same number for texting. When calling/texting from your cell you can also use the plus sign instead of 011.

    Hi Nicole,

This Vietnam number looks like a Hanoi landline to me. Or is it an Australian cell number temporarily located in Vietnam? I suppose this is the case but I will cover both situations: if it’s an Australian cell in Vietnam you will dial it as it is without adding any international codes (04…).
    If it’s a Vietnam number you will dial 0011 84 423…

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

    Hello,

Our website provides the dialing format for most countries – you must pay attention to the number of digits in a phone number.

Now, what you were given is a cell phone number (99 1390???) preceded by Ukraine’s country code 380. Cell numbers in this country do not use area codes. In conclusion you will have to dial: 011 380 99 1390???.

I am not saying your card doesn’t work, I’m only saying it may not work. SpeedyPIN is a card that most likely works for these types of calls:
    https://speedypin.com/
To make sure call their toll free number first.

    Hi Sera,

You are dialing the correct sequence required. Calls to 882 numbers are usually quite expensive. Check if:
-you have enough credit on your card to place this call
-the card lets you call a maritime phone (call the support number on the card to ask)

    Hi Laura,

You must include the area code. Or if it’s a cell phone dial the whole number. More info on https://www.howtocallabroad.com/results.php?callfrom=bhutan&callto=bhutan

    Hi Martin,

A few months ago Kuwait changed its telephone numbering plan by adding one digit to most telephone numbers (fixed and mobile). The number you have looks like a cell phone. In order to dial this number you must add a digit at the beginning (6667 1???). The digits you will dial:
8 pause for a new dial tone 10 965 6667 1???. If using a cell phone to place the call you can replace 8 pause 10 with the plus sign (+).

I just tried calling this number and I get a message in Turkish and English saying that the phone can not be reached at the moment (the phone is switched off or it is out of the coverage area).

If your friend gave you this number it makes no sense to replace the country code. Northern Cyprus is part of Turkey and that is why this number is a Turkish number. If you go to the page https://www.howtocallabroad.com/turkey/ you’ll see that this is the format of a Turkish cell. If you can’t call this number it’s either because you can’t place international calls for some reason or, if you too are getting the message I mentioned above there is likely a problem with this number.

    Hello Mal,
The “from” number is not necessarily the number you can reply to. Here’s why:
    1) to dial out of Australia you will enter either 0011 or the plus sign + country code + cell number
    2) to dial out of the Philippines you will enter 00 or the plus sign + country code + cell number.

So if your friend in the Philippines receives a call from 0011 61 4 ???? ???? he will not reply to the same number – he will replace 0011 with 00 for the call to go through. Have your friend check the number he replies to: it must be either 00 61 4 ???? ???? or +61 4 ???? ????.

The correct way to dial is 011 52 800… However, a (Mexican) toll free number is generally used for domestic calls only. Often these numbers can not be called from abroad. The entity you want to call should also have a regular number you can call.

    Hello,
If you are calling from the US or Canada the dialing sequence you entered is correct. It is possible for the number to be discontinued for lack of funds (if it’s a prepaid cell), or the phone could be turned off. The fact that you hear a message in Macedonian means that your call goes through, so as you are guessing the problem is at the other end of the line.

If she is carrying her US cell with US number you do not need to add any international codes. Just dial her cell as if she was in the US.

    Hello,
You can an Indian toll free number ringing in Russia. People from India would call you at no cost to them. Here’s an example of such service https://www.unitedworldtelecom.com/

To call from Nigeria to Germany you must dial: 009 49 followed by the number you want to call. Area code for Kochel am See is 8851. The local number should be 4 to 7 digit. If the number you have starts with 1 followed by 9 to 10 digits it means that it is a cellular phone and you do not need to add the area code. You must read all the info and even better call SpeedyPIN to inquire about how exactly you will place calls and how much you would pay. For example, the Globetrotter card displays a 1.5 cents/min rate from India, but if you click on the International Access Codes link you will find a 30 cents/min rate for India local or toll free access. This is the reason why the other card listed (MCI) has a much higher rate (this one includes local access).

To answer your question, yes these services work but, as I said you must know all the details before bying the card. Rates charged by the big names in the telecom industry are usually much higher.

    Hi Karen,

Not many services work from the countries you mentioned. One that should work from most countries is SpeedyPIN. They provide local access numbers for most countries. Here’s a link: https://www.speedypin.com

Other service that works from most countries is called callback. For this service you would however need to register international phone numbers you call from prior to placing the calls.
