Hi Rick,
You said you’ve been dialing +56 … I suppose you are using a cell phone to place these calls. One other option you have is to dial 011 instead of the + sign (011 56 …).
The first number doesn’t look right. Unless it is some sort of special number, area code for Pucon is 45 (this is for landlines only, cell phones don’t use area codes). So a regular landline in Pucon should have this format: (0) 45 ??? ???
The second number is a Chilean cell phone. There was a change in the numbering system of Chile in 2007 resulting in all cell numbers becoming 9 digit. Digit 9 must be added in front of the cell number(011 56 9 9870…).
Try these changes and let me know if it works. You can also try using a different line to dial out.

Hi Kevin,
This is a special rate number and sometimes these do not work when dialed from abroad. However, I tried calling the number you posted and it worked (I got the answering machine because I called after working hours). So you can use the regular dialing codes for Australia (no area codes needed): 011 61 131318. If the call doesn’t go through there is a problem with the line you are using to dial (blocked international calls for example).
I hope this helps.

Hi Pat,
You forgot to say where you are located and what dialing sequenece you’ve been trying. Judging by your email address I suppose you are in Australia. To dial international calls from Australia to the Philippines you must enter 0011 (AU exit code) + 63 (Philippines country code) + telephone number. The number you have is a cell phone therefore you do not need to add the area code for the region where it is located. You do however need to drop the zero at the beginning of the cell number. In conclusion you should dial: 0011 63 929 776 8???.
I hope this helps. More detailed info can be found on https://www.howtocallabroad.com/results.php?callfrom=australia&callto=philippines
Hello Edmond,
In this case you are both connected through a roaming partner. Although both in Israel calls between the 2 cellular phones will be dialed as international calls from Israel to the US. The page below shows all the info needed to dial out – if you don’t know what the International exit code (X) is you can replace it with the + (plus) sign on your mobile device:

Hello Williams,
To dial out from the Philippines all you have to do is replace the 011 used when calling from the US with 00. So people calling you from the Philippines (I assume this is what you mean by phils) will dial: 00 82 10 8688 6???. To call you using a calling card they will first dial the access number on the card (usually a toll free number) to get a dial tone.
I hope this helps. Complete info on dialing to South Korea from the Philippines can be found on https://www.howtocallabroad.com/results.php?callfrom=philippines&callto=korea_south

Hi Bruna,
There are 2 errors in your dialing sequence:
1) You do not add the area code when dialing a cell phone in Romania (area codes are used just for calls to landlines).
2) You must leave out the 0 you’ve been dialing in front of the cell number. This is a digit used for calls within Romania.
In conclusion you should dial: 0015 40 746 15????. If you are not positive that 0015 is the exit code you can replace this with the + (plus) sign: +40 746….
This page shows you all the details needed to call Romania from Brazil:

The fact that you are dialing 15 digits and your friend only 13 is not relevant since every country’s telephone numbering system is different. So basically you are saying that you can’t call your friend either. I don’t understand what you mean by “I select send number”. What service are you using to dial out? Have you/your friend tried using another line to dial? If you want I can try dialing the number in Mexico to see if it rings. It’s all I can do since all the digits you’ve been dialing look right to me. So if you want to do this send me a private message with the number using the contact form link at the top right.
Hi Eni,
What message are you getting if any? The sequence entered is correct so if the cell phone you are calling is turned on and in a coverage area it should ring. A common reason why an international call doesn’t go through is the line used to call. Sometimes a line is blocked for placing international calls. In fact many phone service providers block international calls as a default feature. If possible try using another line/service to call or contact your service provider to inquire about this. One other thing you can do is to try dialing another international phone number just to see if it rings (our website provides phone books for all countries).
I hope this helps. For further communication please reply to this post.

Hi Patricio,
To call Malaysia from the Dominican Rep. you will dial the following: 011 + 60 + phone number. Now it is important to know if you are calling a landline or a cell phone. Sarawak is a region so I can’t provide the area code unless you tell me the name of the town you want to call. However – all geographic (landline) numbers in Sarawak have the format 08? ?? ????. 08? is the area code. When dialing such a number from another country like your case you will drop the starting zero. So your call should look like this: 011 60 8? ?? ????.
If the number you want to call is a cell number: mobile numbers in Malaysia have a nationwide format: 1? ??? ???? or 1?? ??? ????. So in this case you will dial 011 60 followed by the cell number.
All this information and more can be found on https://www.howtocallabroad.com/results.php?callfrom=dominican_republic&callto=malaysia
These are not Bermuda telephone numbers. Bermuda has area code 441 and the numbering format would be 441 ??? ????. These numbers could both be US numbers. First from Texas (area code 210) and the second from California (area code 619).

Hello Corchard,
Question: are you sure this is a cell number?
If so please provide more digits here (leave out the last 3 digits only). When you were given the number did it have the starting 8 (8??? ????) or was it a 7 digit number?
Hi Meg,
What exactly have you been dialing? For privacy please replace the last 3 digits with ???.
Hi Linda,
You forgot to mention where you are which is kind of important. Judging by the cell number and email address you have I suppose you are in South Africa. The following codes should be dialed to call your South African cell from the US: 011 (US exit code) + 27 (S.A. country code) + 828456???. As you can see the starting zero in your cell number will be left out. The same dialing procedure is used to dial your number from the Dominican Rep.
All the info required to call South Africa is available at https://www.howtocallabroad.com/south-africa/

You will dial 001 995 770…. The plus sign can be used to replace the 001 exit code when dialing from a cellular phone.
Regarding the number you are dialing (770…) – it looks like a cell phone from Georgia although from the last update I received Georgian cell numbers contain 8 digits as oppossed to 10 in your number. Would you please clarify this by replying to this post. Thanks.
Hello,
Texting between two countries works the same as dialing a voice call. This is how you dial from the Philippines to South Korea: https://www.howtocallabroad.com/results.php?callfrom=philippines&callto=korea_south
Also, here’s a page on our site advising on texting internationally: https://www.howtocallabroad.com/qa/texting.html

Hello Peter,
First of all you must drop the starting zero which is a digit used for calling within Australia only. This is what you should dial for both voice calls and text messages: 00 (Chile exit int. code) + 61 (Australia country code) + 412 134 ???.
Complete info on dialing from Chile to Australia is available on https://www.howtocallabroad.com/results.php?callfrom=chile&callto=australia
I hope this helps.

Hi Fatima,
The area code for the region of Boyaca is 8. Assuming you are dialing from a NANP country (USA, Canada etc) then you should enter: 011 57 8 732 0???. If it doesn’t work see this page for possible reasons: https://www.howtocallabroad.com/qa/dialing-errors.html

Hi Phil,
They added the 00 at the beginning because this is the exit code used to dial out from most European countries. However, when calling internationally from Australia you must use 0011 instead of 00. So you will dial: 0011 39 338 884???. 39 is Italy’s country code. The actual number looks like a cell phone although most cell numbers in Italy are of the format 3?? ??? ???? (10 digits VS 9 in your number).
I hope this helps. You can find additional info on https://www.howtocallabroad.com/results.php?callfrom=australia&callto=italy
